RUSSELL – There was a fantastic turnout for the Ladies Night fundraising event held on Thurs., Nov. 6 at Barry’s Home Hardware in Russell. The 2025 event was held in support of the Winchester & District Memorial Hospital Foundation.
“We are very excited; it is the highlight of our year” commented store owner Ken Carscadden and “I would like to thank my staff for their hard work at getting the store ready for the event.” He explained the event has been occurring for the past 16 years and supports a different charity each year, saying the event provides to give back to the community for their support.”
He explained the funds raised by ticket sales go directly to the charity, noting how close to 150 people are expected at the event. Carscadden mentioned that throughout the evening there will be several draws, discounts on purchases and the opportunity to enjoy light refreshments provided by the Wine Garden South in Ottawa and charcuterie boards from Russell Foodland.
