RUSSELL – One individual was pronounced deceased after a collision on North Russell Road and Route 200 in Russell Township.
On Sat., Jan. 3, 2026, at approximately 4:00 p.m., members of the Russell County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a two-vehicle collision involving an SUV and a sedan.
A 70-year-old female was transported to hospital but was later pronounced deceased. No other injuries were reported.
The OPP report that the investigation is ongoing with assistance from the OPP Traffic Incident Management Enforcement, Technical Collision Investigation and Reconstruction teams.
OPP thanks the public for their patience and cooperation.
