RUSSELL—The St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic High School Ravens’ Junior Girls’ basketball team welcomed the Russell High School Timberwolves on Wed., Sept. 25, in PRSSAA.

Ravens 56 T-Wolves 12

The Ravens jumped out to a good start scoring 10 points in the first quarter holding the T-Wolves to six. The Ravens gained momentum in the second quarter knocking down 16 points and their defence held the T-Wolves to just two. The Ravens took a 26-8 lead into the break at the half. 

The Ravens showed no sign of slowing down knocking down another 14 points in the third quarter and allowing just two points against for the T-Wolves. The Ravens took a 40-10 lead into the final quarter. 

The Ravens showed no mercy scoring 16 more points and allowed the T-Wolves only one bucket. The T-Wolves took the game with a final score of 56-12.

Scoring for the Ravens were Emma Gabriel with 20 points, Emma Gaudette with 14, Riley Daniel with 10 and Makenzie Campbell and Kate Landriault with six each.

Scoring for the T-Wolves were Abby Boszormeny with four, Mackenzie Bonneville, Kate Watters and Sofia Santoro all with deuces and Piper Bond and Ashley Miles each scored singles.
