WINCHESTER—The North Dundas Major Midget Demons played two games this past week as they travelled to Williamstown on Sunday night to taken the Char-Lan Rebels and welcomed the Rebels on Thursday night.

The North Dundas Major Midget Demons welcomed the Char-Lan Rebels to the Joel Steele Community Centre on Thurs., Jan. 10, in the UCMHL. The Demons went into the game tied with the Cornwall Colts for second place and three behind the Rebels. 

The teams battled to a scoreless first period. The Rebels opened the scoring at 1:13 of the second period but the Demons tied the game at 3:04 when Curtis Bell slapped one home from Cam Sherrer. 

The Demons took their first lead of the game when Ben Fingler sniped one from Josh Broad at 4:59 but the Rebels answered with three goals at 7:47, 9:24 and with 1:56 remaining in the middle frame. The Rebels took a 4-2 lead into the third period. 

The Rebels scored the lone pair of goals in the third at 2:16 and 12:23 and took the game 6-2 sweeping the two game series 2-0. With the loss the Demons fell five points behind the Rebels and two points behind the Colts after they won a game.

The North Dundas Major Midget Demons travelled to the Char-Lan Recreation Centre in Williamstown on Sun., Jan. 6, in the UCMHL. The Demons went into the game tied with the Cornwall Colts for second place just one point behind the Rebels in first place. 

The Rebels opened the score at 7:47 of the first period and made 2-0 at 9:56 and took that lead into the second period. The Rebels added three more unanswered goals in the second at 5:14, 9:24 and 10:35 and took a 5-0 lead into the final stanza.

The Rebels made it 6-0 at 2:15 of the third period. The Rebels held the Demons off the score sheet for the remainder of the game taking it 6-0. With the loss, the Demons fell to three points behind the Rebels in first place.
