NORTH STORMONT – Fields of Gold, with its trademark sunflower and corn fields as well as a cutting garden featuring such floral favourites such as dahlias, zinnias and sunflowers as well as other varieties, is officially open for the 2026 season.

Owner Jakob Vogel mentioned the agri-tourism location will be open until the end of October and will feature several family friendly activities. These include the opportunity to enjoy some fresh farm air while taking a stroll through the sunflowers or perhaps travelling through the 15-acre corn maze. Vogel explained there are 11 clues for maze travellers to solve and there is a special treat for those who have the solution at the Sunny Squeeze, the farm’s onsite storefront.

He mentioned a FunZone with several fun activities for children is a new feature this year, with crowd favourites such as Yoga in the Sunflowers or Yoga in the Flower Field available on selected dates. During the season there will be several sessions designed for adults featuring the opportunity to create your own bouquet using pre-picked flowers followed by a stroll through the farm.

As fall approaches and the sunflowers lose some of their summer glory, don’t despair because in mid-September Spooky Nights will be returning and as well there are trips to the on-site pumpkin patch, featuring four varieties of pumpkins, being planned.

For more information on the season, it suggested to visit the farm social media sites which include TikTok, Instagram and Facebook as well as the website located at www.fieldsofgold.ca.
