The sunshine outside didn’t deter people from attending the inaugural Moose Creek Business Expo on Sat., May 9. The event was held in the Moose Creek Community Centre located at 1 Munro Street between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. with 21 local businesses participated in the event and was hosted by the Moose Creek Chamber of Commerce (MSCC). “It is important to support your local businesses as they are the basis of our communities” commented lead organizer Nick Forgues. A sincere thank you was extended to the MSCC volunteers for their time and energy as well as to the businesses who were at the event as well as the support from the community which made it a great event. Carolyn Thompson Goddard, grew up in Chesterville and attended North Dundas District High School. After completing her BA in Political Science at Carleton University she has worked as a medical secretary and library technician. In 2020 she graduated from Algonquin College with a diploma in Journalism and has been a reporter and column writer for The Chesterville Record for over 10 years.
