LIMOGES – Larose Forest in cooperation with United Counties of Prescott-Russell (UCPR), ATV Club of Eastern Ontario and the Eastern Ontario Snowmobile Club is excited to announce a joint cooperative project to build a Warmup and Gathering Shelter in the heart of the Larose Forest. Larose Forest has always been the Crown Jewel for both clubs who enjoy using this area for their respective sport. The heavy presence of riders in both summer and winter is the key driving factor behind this project, creating a place where both clubs can enjoy a place to warm up and gather.

In 2023 The ATV Club of Eastern Ontario approached Larose Forest Management with the possibility of building a Warmup Shelter for winter and a summer gathering point for ATV and Snowmobile enthusiasts. Larose Forest Management contacted UCPR who own the forest and received complete support for this project. A partnership then developed between the ATV Club of Eastern Ontario and the Eastern Ontario Snowmobile Club to work together on getting this project under way.

This project is completely self- funded with various corporate and private donations. Funds are being generated also through various ATV and Snowmobile events. No funds are being taken from the ATV Club and the Snowmobile’s yearly operating budgets. Larose Forest has agreed to provide and prepare the site. The target date for completion is fall 2027.

The proposed site is in the heart of Larose Forest at a location where both ATV and Snowmobile trails have access.

The first fundraiser will be on the weekend of Feb. 6 – 8, 2026. On Feb. 6, at noon a silent auction opens. You can view the items and bid at app.bidbeacon.com/#/auction/BXR2DB/details. The auction closes at 3:00 p.m.  on Feb. 8.

The items being bid upon will be displayed at the Oasis RV Resort, 2052 Calypso St., in Limoges. Viewing will be from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

On Feb. 7, from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. there will be a fundraising ATV ride from Place 1967 in Plantagenet through Larose Forest to Oasis RV Resort for lunch, before returning to Place 1967.
