RUSSELL – For close to 20 years, the Living Locally Fair has provided local entrepreneurs an opportunity to showcase their businesses and products.
On Jan. 17, the 2026 Living Locally Fair was held throughout the main floor of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic High School in Russell. Organizer Matt Spence mentioned there were 137 vendors at the event, up from last year.
A steady stream of people attended the event which seemed to offer something for everyone. There were several local associations, such as the Russell and District Horticultural Society, present showcasing their community activities and there were several authors ready to help you choose a new book to enjoy during a stormy winter day.
Worked up an appetite, no problem as several different food entrepreneurs were serving up a variety of sweet treats or fresh bread to enjoy. Looking for a special gift, or perhaps something on your wish list a variety of crafters were present, providing the opportunity to see their specially crafted items.
Spence wished to thank the 30 students who volunteered at the event, to St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic High School, to the Russell and District Agricultural Society, and to the Township of Russell for their assistance in ensuring the success of the 2026 Living Locally Fair. He also extended a sincere thank you to the community for their continued support and to all who attended the event.
