RUSSELL – The members of the Russell United Church on Mill St. have a mystery on their hands and would like some help in trying to solve it.
According to MariLyse Dumas, they have a quilt that was created in 1959 which includes the names of the members of the church as well as members of the community. The quilt was apparently brought to the church prior to COVID, but there is no record of who donated it.
The members of the Russell United Church are looking for a place to display the quilt but would also like to learn more about its history, in particular who to credit with making it as well as why it was created that year.
They would really appreciate any information, even if you feel it is unimportant. If you have any information, you are asked to please contact russellunited@gmail.com. If you are interested in being contacted by phone, you can call 613-445-3111. Please leave a name and phone number either by email or through their phone and they will contact you.
They are really looking forward to solving this mystery and would appreciate any information they receive.
