WINCHESTER – On behalf of the Chesterville & District Lions (CDL) club, Lion Debra Kelly presented a number of stuffed animals to the Winchester & District Memorial Hospital (WDMH) for children to snuggle with while being treated at the hospital.
“If a pediatric patient comes to the hospital and is in need of a little extra love, we provide them a stuffie to support their visit explained Shannon Horsburg, Clinical Manager, Emergency, Family Birthing, Hemodialysis, Laboratory, Discharge Planning and Respiratory Therapy at WDMH.
Lion Debra explained the CDL has been providing stuffies to WDMH since 2017 and provides them to fire stations in both Chesterville and Morewood.

Carolyn Thompson Goddard, grew up in Chesterville and attended North Dundas District High School. After completing her BA in Political Science at Carleton University she has worked as a medical secretary and library technician. In 2020 she graduated from Algonquin College with a diploma in Journalism and has been a reporter and column writer for The Chesterville Record for over 10 years.
