The Rotary Club of Chesterville & District donated a 55” TCL flat-screen television to The Gathering House’s new program for youth ranging from ages 8-14. The Hub is what the program is known as and it is coordinated by the Gathering House’s youth director, Scott Hopkins. Hopkins says the program has attracted 6-10 kids and the Hub features games like foosball, air hockey, video games and a ping pong table. The program will mount the new television to the wall and it will be used for video games and movies. Lois Beckstead went to the Rotary Club with the request for help and the club was more than eager to help out. Presenting the television were Rotary members, front from left, Betty Vanden Bosch, Beckstead, Birket Foster and Hopkins. Back from left, Brian Barr, senior pastor from The Gathering House, John Stewart, Nelson Zandbergen and Beate Stewart. Moore photo
