Full of fun for fall Staff at Upper Canada Village have been preparing the Village for the much anticipated annual Pumpkinferno festival beginning on Fri., Sept. 28. The Village will be full of spectacular sights for the thousands of visitors to see. MORRISBURG – Upper Canada Village will launch its magical fall event Pumpkinferno on Fri., Sept. 28.  It will run Thursday through Sunday evenings (and Thanksgiving Monday) until Sun., Oct. 28. Hours are 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. until Oct. 14 and then 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. starting Oct. 18.  Tickets are on sale at  www.UpperCanadaVillage.com.

Pumpkinferno will offer an accessibility night on Oct. 9.  Guests with accessibility needs can ride in their own vehicles to view Pumpkinferno. Only accessibility vans or parabuses will be allowed; coaches and school buses cannot be accommodated due to their size.  Upper Canada Village will provide a staff person familiar with the Village roadways in the dark to lead the vehicles through the site.  Reservations are required.  Contact customer service at 613-543-4328 or 800-437-2233.

A sneak peek indicates that Pumpkinferno 2018 will enthral audiences once again with the introduction of five all new magical additions with a bit of groovy fun thrown in.

Mesozoic Monsters – Hear those roars?  Could it be dinosaurs? Imagine life-size recreations of prehistoric reptiles. Come meet the Tyrannosaurus Rex, Stegosaurus, Triceratops and Velociraptors!

Psychedelic Sixties – Far out man!  We’re groovin’ to a whole new sound and light show set to some of the 60s most iconic and memorable tunes.  It’s outta sight and trippy, so embrace your inner hippy and get in the groove at Pumpkinferno’s psychedelic rock extravaganza.

Creatures of the Current – Do you ever wonder what lies beneath the surface and in the depths of the ocean?

Wander through the Pumpkinferno ocean blue in this underwater-themed debut!  No snorkels, scuba diving gear or shark cages required!  Octupus, sea turtles, a Great White Shark and more!

Cycle Through Time – Cycling enthusiasts will love this look back to how bicycles have changed over time. See ours – all made from pumpkins, then stop by Pumpkin Park for some energetic Pedal Power fun!

Steampunk Station – Get transported to the Victorian retro-futuristic age of steam-powered technology and vintage fashion, all with a contemporary, cheeky twist. Our Steampunk Station features fashionable characters and a 36 foot long train – all artistically carved from pumpkins!

Guests can expect to see some returning favourite exhibits including: Patriotic Pastimes featuring our nation’s most beloved sports; The Great White North complete with the Northern Lights, life size polar bears and enchanting snowflakes; Night at the Gallery, an astounding display of recreated paintings by some of the greatest painters in history; and the colourful Dia de los Muertos.   

Start the evening with a pre-tour dinner at historic Willard’s Hotel, the Harvest Barn or at the Upper Canada Pub.
