Firefighters from all four North Dundas stations plus a tanker and ladder truck from North Grenville spent Sat., July 31 working on this fire in South Mountain. A landmark business in the region, the former Kings Pizza building was destroyed. The owners of the building were away at the time of the fire which was called in at around 11:30 p.m. on the Saturday. When firefighters arrived, the building was completely engulfed. They remained at the scene until 7:30 a.m. the next morning. The Ontario Fire Marshal’s office will be looking into the cause of the fire. Photo on the left courtesy of Bretny Holmes Photography.
