EMBRUN – The Embrun Community Leisure Association hosted another successful and fun Summerfest over the past week. The event which lasted from Wed., June 13 until Sun., June 17 featured a community baseball tournament, youth street hockey, a number of evenings with music and community dinners as well as a petting zoo provided by Vanderlaand The Barnyard Zoo.
The baseball tournament was featured throughout the Summerfest, starting on Thursday with the semi-finals and finals for all three tiers taking place on Sunday. Winning for the intermediate division was La Taverne à Ti-Pat, the open division was taken by The Show and the Fighting Camels won the recreational division.
Once the festivities were concluded, organizers thanked the many volunteers who helped make the Summerfest a success and everyone in the community who participated in the activities.
The Leisure Association will take a quick break before starting to plan for the 2019 Winter Carnival.
