CHESTERVILLE – Artists from all around the province will be gathering to display their work in a two-day festival in downtown Chesterville on June 2 and 3.

Art on the Waterfront has something for everyone; from unique pieces of work crafted by regional artists, to live music, to a Kids Zone entertainment centre. There’s even a farmer’s market and a bouncy castle.

“We really wanted to create an event that would appeal to almost anyone,” said event coordinator Cheryl Beasley. “Chesterville is such a great town, and it’s the perfect place to highlight local talent.”

The festival events lineup launches with a big breakfast from 8 to 10 a.m. at the Gathering House at 2 Water Street; with opening ceremonies starting at 10 a.m.

“During the day you can stroll along Water Street and browse the booths that display some amazing and talented artisanal work,” said Beasley. “The festival keeps growing and we’re really proud to welcome new partners this year.”

Toronto Dominion Bank, Ottawa Special Events, BGM RV Repair, WUBS Transit and the Township of North Dundas are among the more than two dozen sponsors who have signed up for this year’s event.

Music producer Michael Houston (aka “Tic”) brings us an incredible lineup of “Live” music that starts at noon and goes until 6 p.m. on Saturday and until 5 p.m. on Sunday, featuring: Ken Workman, Mosely, Caribou Stew, Slo’ Tom, Steve Stacey, Bitter North, Hey Buster, Sons of Gord, Krystal Jyl, and Ray Harris.

“Don’t forget to stay for the movie at dusk on Saturday, sponsored by the Township of North Dundas,” said Beasley. “It’s the perfect way to end the day with family and friends.”

So whether you visit the festival to find your own unique piece of hand-crafted art, let your kids loose to enjoy the super-fun Kids Zone, eat some great food, or listen to some spectacular live music; you’re bound to find something that will bring you back year after year.
